Late mid century mortar and pestle set in solid rosewood. Ideal for crushing and grinding herbs and spices into a fine grain, powder or paste. Lathe turned, hard tung oil finish, new cork feet. Fully sterilized and rejuvenated. Total weight 3 lbs. Service and rejuvenate as needed - once every 2 months of use, or as wear surface begins to indicate transfer (holds food smells). We recommend rejuvenating this set with pure, food safe tung oil for best results as it will create a resilient barrier for the wood once fully cured. We do not recommend the use of mineral oil on this mortar and pestle set.
